HRS constructs new Körber production building
Frauenfeld/Grabs - HRS is constructing a new production building for the Pharma business area of Körber AG in Grabs in the canton of St.Gallen. This expansion will enable the company to focus on future growth and sustainability.
(CONNECT) HRS based in Frauenfeld in the canton of Thurgau is the total contractor tasked with constructing the new production building for the Pharma business area of Körber in Grabs. According to a press release, the foundation stone was laid on 13 February.
A basement, two production levels and two office floors will be created on an open space next to the existing building at the site. The new building will give the company a production area of 7,500 sqm and add office space of 5,000 sqm. The building itself will meet all the latest sustainability and energy efficiency standards. Alongside a rooftop photovoltaic system, there will reportedly also be extensive charging options for electric cars.
The building is scheduled for completion by 2027 and will house all future activities relating to the Pharma business area of Körber.
“The newbuild plays a key role in our planned growth, which is centered on our customers on the one hand and our employees on the other,” explained Christoph Hammer, CEO of Packaging Materials in the Pharma Business Area of Körber in Grabs, in the press release. “We are expanding not only our space but also our team. We currently have more than 360 colleagues on site working on the development and production of our technologies. This is set to increase to over 390 by the end of this year. We are creating a state-of-the-art workspace for our growing team.” ce/ww
