Sandra Gschwend fully acquires böörds AG
Widnau - Sandra Gschwend is the new sole owner of böörds AG. In August, the co-founder and managing director of the Swiss company specializing in bag closures and screw systems for tubes bought the shares of her business partner Christian Diethelm.
The company böörds AG is now 100 per cent owned by Sandra Gschwend. The co-founder and managing director of the company, which was founded in 2018, acquired the shares of co-founder Christian Diethelm in August, according to a statement from böörds. The partners have agreed not to disclose financial details.
According to the statement, böörds AG has developed a smart closure system for bags and a device for screwing tubes. All products and packaging are produced in Switzerland. They are assembled by people with disabilities at the Arwole foundation. Bag holders and tube screw systems from the company based in Widnau in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen are currently available in around 450 shops across Switzerland and online. In addition, böörds has acquired customers across a range of brands for special editions. The statement highlights A. Vogel, Bio Familia, Swiss Post and Orell Füssli.
Diethelm announced his decision to leave the company in the spring, according to böörds. “I am certain that Sandra and her team will take böörds to new heights,” he is quoted as saying. According to the statement, Gschwend and Diethelm are of the same opinion: that böörds AG and its products will continue to attract a lot of attention. ce/hs
